Front-line staff are often the key people in delivering positive behaviour support for individuals with intellectual disability and behaviours that challenge. However, effective training in positive behaviour principles and technologies is not well developed. This paper describes a training model that identifies and demonstrates effective outcomes at three levels, those for the individual with behaviours that challenge, the participating learners, i.e. staff members and the organisation. The key areas of training and outcomes are identified and discussed.
