Somebody To Love is a new documentary by Wildfire Films which will be shown on RTE One next Monday 17th February at 9.35pm .
Featuring the cast of the Blue Teapot Theatre Company’s play Sanctuary and following the show’s two leads Kieran Coppinger & Charlene Kelly, the programme explores love and relationships for people who have a disability and examines the practical and emotional obstacles they face.
Largely observational in style and relying on first hand experiences, Somebody To Love provides a diverse range of stories from individuals or couples with different disabilities, both physical and intellectual. It explores perceptions, prejudice and the law.
Blue Teapot is proud to be involved with this programme, which includes the journey of Sanctuary’s production build up and culmination in a triumphant appearance in the Dublin Fringe Festival last year. The documentary is directed by Anna Rodgers, produced by Zlata Filipovic and executively produced by Martha O’Neill for Wildfire Films.
