• National Federation Research Strategy 2008-2013
  As service providers the National Federation accepts that for services to be person centred we have to change the way we provide services by being more creative. We are now starting to look at the direction we need to be taking so we can meet the needs of those who use our services.  One of the ways that we provide the service people need is to know exactly what those needs are and that can only be done through high quality research into areas where more information is needed. So we have developed a research strategy after talking with all our member organisations.  A copy of our easy-to-read Research Strategy is available here. 
• People Connecting
  People Connecting is an easy-to-read publication, published in June 2007 by the National Federation of Voluntary Bodies.  It incorporates the findings from the 26th June 2006 Consultative Workshop on the Barriers, Incentives and Solutions to Community Participation & Inclusion of People with Intellectual Disability.  It also includes Recommendations to the Board of the National Federation on 18 April 2007 from the Community Participation & Inclusion Sub-Committee.  A copy of People Connecting is available here.

• Council of Europe Disability Action Plan 2006-2015
  The Council of Europe Disability Action Plan promotes the rights and full participation of people with disabilities in society; improving the quality of life of people with disabilities.  This easy-to-read version was produced by EASPD for the Secretariat General for the Council of Europe.  A copy of the action plan is available here.
• UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, 2006 
  • Its About Ability! is an easy to read explanation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities that was created by UNICEF in 2008.
  • A paper has been written, designed and produced for the UK Department for Work and Pensions by the ‘EasyRead’ service @ Inspired Services Publishing Ltd. ISL366/07. November 2007.  A copy of the Convention document is available here.  A copy of the Optional Protocol is available here.
